Not All Heroes Wear Capes, but if Terry Fortune had to wear one, it would be loud, fabulous and sparkly.
In the 1970s, despite Apartheid laws, Terry Fortune became one of the first drag queens in South Africa. A legend within the Cape Town theatre world, Terry Fortune has paved the way for artists, and performers throughout the past 30 years.
Today, he sits down to reflect on his life, his “faces” and memories, as he tells his own story.
